InterChange has secured a lease with Sumitomo Drive Technologies, based in Chesapeake, VA, to provide a new gear assembly facility. Sumitomo is replacing an existing facility located next to InterChange with an expanded facility. Both lots are located in Mill Place Commerce Park in Verona, VA. This publicly-owned Park houses Shamrock Foods and DASCOM America among others.
72,000 SF of the 108,000 SF facility is set aside for Sumitomo with 36,000 SF available for InterChange customers to lease in 18,000 SF sections or offer 3PL warehouse services. InterChange’s 36,000 SF area is fully racked with 3,800 pallet positions.
The facility is less than 1 mile from Interstate 81 exit 228 in the publicly-owned Mill Place Commerce Park. The InterChange space is managed to food-grade standards, air-conditioned and maintained between 50 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit.
